# Linty

> Linty is a public, machine-readable index of the wholesale programs of food, beverage and pet (CPG) brands. For each brand: whether it sells direct to retailers, through distributors only, or not at all; where to apply (a web form, an email, a portal) and the fields the brand asks for; the source and the date it was verified. Linty does not take applications yet; each relationship page shows where to apply, with a link to the brand's own form, portal or email when there is one. Linty has an MCP server at https://mcp.linty.xyz/mcp; it needs no key, and /agents.md lists its tools. Every brand, relationship, company and category page has a markdown twin at `.md` and a JSON twin at `.json`; `Accept: text/markdown` on the HTML URL returns the markdown.

## Formats

- Every brand, relationship, company and category page has a markdown twin at `.md` and a JSON twin at `.json`. A request to the HTML URL with `Accept: text/markdown` returns the markdown.
- A category twin lists its brands, each linked to its brand twin. A brand twin lists the relationships. A relationship twin says where to apply and lists the requirements.
- A JSON twin is the page record, parsed through the same schema as the page. The field names are the dictionary terms.
- The MCP server at `https://mcp.linty.xyz/mcp` returns the same records as the JSON twins. Its tools find brands and read a brand, a relationship, a company or a category.
- What Linty is not yet: Linty does not take applications, and there is no apply call. To open an account, follow the link to the form, portal or email of the brand.
